“The Backpack Programme”. : Direction for our times will be running 3 Backpack Summer Camps in three locations in the Kilmore Diocese throughout July. This course is designed to provide you with the essential skills you require for life such as managing stress, how to set & achieve goals and learn more about your spirituality. The Backpack Programme is a fantastic guide for students (at TY level in particular) taking them on a journey where they are safe to explore the challenges of teen life; from anxieties and establishing safe boundaries in school/friendships/relationships to the BIG question of Who is God and establishing a relationship with Him through Church. Having received very positive feedback during the pilot phase in the Kilmore Diocese, the programme is now being made available to all teachers/chaplains/youth ministry workers who wish to use it. 
Having met with the writers I am struck by the quality of content, as it connects psychology, science, mental health and spirituality in a vibrant and powerful way.
